2 real but unconfirmed episodes[edit]

Should we add them? They are real but taken from a private source (as the commenter on the season 12 page on the SpongeBob wiki said) but aren't confirmed yet

243a - The Nitwitting 243b - The Ballad of Filthy Muck

Episode Order[edit]

I've removed a lot of the episode #'s of currently unaired episodes. I know there are plenty of leaks and rumors going about, but these really shouldn't listed on here until a trusted site like Futon Critic updates with them. WP:RS and WP:UNRELIABLE should be followed more here. Magitroopa (talk) 20:26, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've just hidden all of the episodes confirmed through Vincent Waller's Twitter. If the page is to be followed correctly, these really shouldn't be used at all, as this really goes against WP:RS. You can see examples of this here, as well as through the Knight Squad page, which will continue to say "present" as Sean Cunningham's Twitter is unverified, thus, cannot be used as a source for the show ending. I'm sure though many people would have a problem with the episodes being fully removed, which is why they are only hidden. In reality, the other sources such as Waller's tweet announcing season 12, or Kaz's Facebook post sourcing 54 episode segments shouldn't really be used either, but oh well. Magitroopa (talk) 17:04, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The credibility of the heretofore-unverified twitter accounts of Vincent Waller and Paul Tibbitt is currently under discussion at WP:RS/N. FoxyGrampa75 (talk) 18:07, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Season 12[edit]

Hi I was just wondering why things on the wikipedia season 12 keep getting deleted. I have fixed things that have not been cited but it doesn't matter. I don't know how to do it then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benroks2020 (talkcontribs) 07:13, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As it's been stated multiple times now... a reliable source is needed for episode titles, airdates, etc. Things such as Waller's Twitter are currently WP:NOTRS, as per a previous discussion. Sources already being used such as Futon Critic and Zap2it are reliable enough, and currently do not list these episodes. We can wait for a reliable source (such as those two) to provide these episodes... there is no rush to get these episodes listed ASAP, we can wait. Magitroopa (talk) 07:20, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A Place for Pets and Lockdown for Love[edit]

These episodes are in season 13. Season 12 was already announced to have 26 episodes, therefore no 27th episode in season 12. Colgatepony234 (talk) 18:26, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hadn't realized/remembered that when adding. We don't have the episode total on this article currently, so I'll update accordingly with this. S13 article can also be set up shortly. (I know I've said it's WP:NOTRS, but Waller did say "Pets" is in S13 here, but for the purposes of Wikipedia with the guidelines, best we can go off of is that S12 is 26 episodes, so this is indeed in S13). Birthday Blowout[edit]

Since "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout" is listed within the regular episode selection of the season 12 DVD, instead of a special feature as with the Patchy clip show, would this be enough to incorporate it as an episode and not a separately-produced special? Scrooge200 (talk) 01:10, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Per The Futon Critic source- production code still listed as "893".
In reality, the episode listings/tables here shouldn't even be ordered by production code/order, but rather by airdate. However, this would require plenty of work, as this is not just one season to be worked on, but twelve (as well as the beginning of a thirteenth season). Simply assuming this is episode 13/14 of season 12 would be WP:OR, as the production codes given on TFC match up with the "No. overall" column. Magitroopa (talk) 06:12, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve made my case, the 12th season dvd includes it with the rest of the episodes. None of the specials listed are on the episodes, except this one. The specials are on the bonus features. Funny enough, it lists all the episodes in the same order on here and places this episode as the 13th and 14th. The DVD says it all. Ultimate Fly-Man (talk) 06:18, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The fact the dvd doesn’t any new episodes on there and with the episode taking its place, is the episode. Just because it has a different production code number, doesn’t mean it counts. It’s coming from Nickelodeon/ViacomCBS, they're accurate on this. The complete lineup of the episodes here matches the ones on the dvd. Ultimate Fly-Man (talk) 06:26, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
First, just to remind you, this discussion is still taking place. Just because no one has responded in 24 hours, it does not mean you are 'the correct one'. Discussions can take time, and are not dictated upon your own set time limit to allow for responses.
Getting back to the issue at hand- The production code from the source is not just any random number, but is the production code given by the network in question (Nickelodeon). The production code indicates it as a special, not necessarily part of season 12 (Note how the production code aligns with other recent specials including "SpongeBob Appreciation Day: Patchy's Beach Bash!", "Patchy's Playlist", and "The Stars of SpongeBob Fan Favorites Special").
I cannot find many other sources at the moment, but both the Amazon listing and Nickelodeon episode listings disagree with it being 13/14. On Amazon, it is listed as episode 3 of season 12, and Nickelodeon lists it as episode 6 of season 12. Magitroopa (talk) 17:46, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hallelujah! Those sources are listing the episodes by airdate, so it’s going to be a lot different than it is here. Ultimate Fly-Man (talk) 17:49, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A lot of the sources do seem to go by airdate release order. But in all of the sources I saw, including yours, they all called it a season 12 episode. I did find one source that’s seems to go by the order here, albeit it’s following the dvd order I was telling you about. Animation World Network, reliable source of animation programs and lists Nickelodeon as source, lists like this. Ultimate Fly-Man (talk) 18:06, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about editing, I did not see the discussion. Anyway I vote for it to be listed as an episode, as it is listed on the DVD which has been the main source of the episode order on this site KebBadErikSteveJobs (talk) 03:18, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm new here, so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but I don't see any reason why Big Birthday Blowout shouldn't be in the episode list. First, if it isn't an episode, where are episodes 13 and 14? And second, this works more like an episode than a special, because the other specials are just Patchy (or someone else) doing a top 10 best moments from other episodes. Ilikethesimpsons (talk) 18:20, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Since I'm not involved, I'll be having a mixed vote, around Blowout being considered a Special. -- Dot, 06:13, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Writer and storyboard credits[edit]

Originally, the writer and storyboard artist credits on this article were separate but since then, they’ve been merged, so now the credits for the writer and the storyboard artists and supervising directors are both listed under “written by”. Is this because of a Wikipedia rule? I was thinking about separating them again, or at least placing them under a “directed by” section (since the credits are “storyboard director” and “supervising director”) to make the episode credits on the article easier to read. Kwarantined Krab[edit]

So this IGN article says that the episode Kwarantined Krab is pulled and instead of making a edit that could get me banned, I figured I would put this on the talk page and see how this should be best reflected on the Season 12 page.[1] TheDeadRatInTheCornerOfMyRoom52 (talk) 00:22, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What edit did you have in mind? The episode being pulled does not mean it does not exist, also it has aired in other countries. KebBadErikSteveJobs (talk) 18:54, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Specials[edit]

I think they should be separated from this page and go into the list of episodes page. Most of the episodes that are specials aren't apart of the twelfth season. This is especially since the thirtieth season aired but these episodes still remain there for some reason. BaldiBasicsFan (talk) 18:13, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
