Elaine[edit]

I have known the 'Sunday will never be the same' since 1967 but have never seen Elaine sing until I found her on You Tube, 1967 video. I fell on love with her. What a marvellous voice and pronouncement just perfect with that resonating voice. Just fabulous. I play the video over and over time and again. Spanky had a sister (Margaret) who was a Catholic nun in MN. The students in the attached school found out that the nun was Spanky’s sister. Margaret left the convent in about 1969. We saw each other a few times, but then I moved to CA and we lost touch. She told me once that the nick name “Spanky” was actually hers.
