This movie Son of Sardar has landed up in controversy, being racial the movie official theatrical trailer has offensive dialogues and visuals, insulting and injuring SikhsLawyer and their religious sentiments. Senior sikh lawyer Adv Navkiran Singh from Chandigarh, sikh Lawyers from Nagpur Adv Jatinderpal singh and Adv Taranjeet Singh have taken objections and many other sikh organizations and individual sikhs have objected to the derogatory matter in movie and demanded its removal before release of the movie.

Partly done: Added information about Budget per source. The sources given on the current article are not reliable and one even agrees with zeeyanketu. And Taran adarsh tweetsis a genuine sources.It has more than 2 lakhs followers on twitter,He takes data from production houses.,Even Ajay Devgan tweeted on Guru purnima day,Nov28,2012 Evening 4 PM that Son of Sardaar crossed 100 crores in india nett. you can check his tweet.some exceeptions can be made in wikipedia if Box Office India is changing its figures 3-4 times. this doesn't happens ,but basically after Golmaal 3it is changing drastically for these diwali releases. {{Edit semi-product}} The story of "Son of Sardar" is very very similar to the Bengali movie "Fande poriya Boga Kande Re" which was released much earlier than SOS.

Mundane marketing[edit]

In this edit I removed the marketing section because it described mundane marketing efforts, which WP:TRAILER is not interested in. Every film on the planet is promoted through the use of trailers, posters, photo opportunities, actor spots on various television shows, interviews, etc. Not worth including.
