Oppose per Dekimasu. No evidence presented that the proposed name is used by anyone, let alone the common name. If anything, the only name in town is the Spanish name "Partido Socialista Ecuatoriano" (as in the Twitter link above) so if there's nothing else available and the current name is inaccurate perhaps we should use that? — Amakuru (talk) 18:13, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

- The Spanish (native language) Wikipedia article contains many references that support the proposed title. For example, https://www.elcomercio.com/actualidad/cnetransitorio-directiva-partidosocialista-elecciones-seccionales.html. "Ecuadorian Socialist Party" is the direct translation, and only reasonable translation, of the COMMONNAME = official name of "Partido Socialista Ecuatoriano". --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:53, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

- The redirect should be replaced. The current target, PAIS Alliance, includes:
  "The current configuration of this movement is given with the participation of the Ecuadorian Socialist Party, humanist movements and social bases."
  Note the piping of this article to "Ecuadorian Socialist Party". The redirect was reasonable, the "Ecuadorian Socialist Party" being integral in the PAIS Alliance, but "Ecuadorian Socialist Party" is THIS page.
