Singles[edit]

Set it Off was huge in the states (or at least South Florida) in 2003... shouldn't it be listed as a single? --RoadDoggFL 16:58, 29 January 2007 (UTC)--[reply]

It was indeed, but I believe this was due to the promo music video that was released about that time. I'm pretty sure there was never a release of any type. There was a Vinyl single of Target they used to sell on the merch stands. Perhaps that should be added. But maybe it's best to stick to official releases? --Benji666 23:22, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re-release[edit]

I've got a Lava Records copy, and has the new art but not "We Want." Maybe this needs a little more reserach? Gopherbassist 21:47, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article agrees with that doesn't it?

In 2004 Babylon was re-released again. This time with new artwork & some newly recorded tracks.

The latest re-release featured a bonus disc of extra material comprising of acoustic versions of their songs 'Start first', 'Pressure', 'Set it Off' and 'Nobody'. Also included on the main CD was a new song 'We want'.

We Want is only mentioned in the 2005 UK release. I'm guessing you have the 2004 US version?--Benji666 09:27, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second Album section[edit]

The last paragraph of the Second Album section, about Benji's 'spiritual revelation,' even overlooking the tremendously awful grammar, needs some citations; and is it even necessary to include here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.71.198.181 (talk) 20:07, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is it also appropriate to say they performed an "Amazing" set at Download? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.110.103.44 (talk) 13:28, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Genres and clean-up[edit]

I had seen articles related to this band refer to its genre as nu metal, but I could not find any sources defining them as such, so I have removed inclusions of this genre from the album pages and Benji's biography. If you search Google News, you'll find that there are articles that refer to this band performing alongside bands which are referred to by this genre term, but no instances in which Skindred are actually referred to as "nu metal". Additionally, this article needs a lot of clean-up and some good references. Reliable news sources and genre books would be best for this purpose. (Sugar Bear (talk) 21:04, 25 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]

It kind of goes with out saying though. Their music sounds similar to nu metal which is why they perform with nu metal bands, and why they are sometimes labeled nu metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.115.177.236 (talk) 04:38, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Whether or not an anonymous editor considers the band to be a part of the genre is beside the point. There needs to be a consensus from reliable musical authorities that they perform in the genre, which there isn't. (Sugar Bear (talk) 11:49, 15 June 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Would this source be considered reliable http://www.virgin.com/music/reviews/nu-metal-aint-dead--just-ask-skindred Syxxpackid420 (talk) 17:25, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Closest band you can find is Serbian Eyesburn --Rastavox (talk) 21:41, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
