Recent Changes[edit]

There was a popular saying in the Joseon period in Korea, where the people said "Lee Sun Shin conquers the Sea, while Shin Lip conquers the Land".

Could anybody provide evidence or reference material for this? Thanks. (Wikimachine 05:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC))[reply]

name[edit]

Sin Lip? ...I've never heard of "Sin Rip" being spelled this way, and if they're is anyone who can shange the article name to "Sin Rip", it would be more accurate.

But its also already long wrong. Its "신립 장군" or "Shin Rip." Any administrators that can change the name? Oyo321 20:41, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sin Rip has bad implications, so I named the article Sin Lip. But I guess it could be Shin Lip. Or Shin Wrip. That seems a lot better. (Wikimachine 04:44, 27 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

nove[edit]

Have changed the name to "Shin Rip." Oyo321 05:44, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Conversion of Dates[edit]

The earlier version of this article gave an April date for Shin Ip's battle at Dangeumdae--this is an error caused by reading the historical lunar date of fourth month and equating it to April, dates must be converted using something like the A Sino-Western Calendar for Two Thousand Years: 1-2000 A.D.
