The Art[edit]

  • Won, Yu, Wha
    • I have never heard GM Ji, GM MacKenzie, Master Bradley, or Master Yates talk about these principles as the core of Sin Moo. Seems to me like they always ended up getting copied/pasted from Aikido articles into Hapkido articles without fact-checking; even if the concepts are not opposed to the movement in Sin Moo, it seems misleading to talk about them as the core of movement in the Art section. q.v. http://www.nasmhf.com/index.cfm?page=6 http://sinmoolegacy.com/Pages/History.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.214.150.100 (talk) 20:27, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

High ranking practitioners[edit]

From which dan do we people consider to be high ranking?? When 4th dan is generally considered to be the grade you need to become an instructor, do we really need a kid with a 3rd dan in this list? --Kbarends 08:14, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreeded. The name was removed. If the person who added this name wants to replace it. It should be done under a different category, as 3rd Dan is not considered a high rank in the martial arts.
Regarding my edit and removal of links. For those of you who are new to Wikipedia, an offsite link should not be place within a paragraph. You simply need to check the Wikipedia manual of style to discover this fact. If you want to replace these links. They should be placed in the external link section. There are too many 3rd dan Sin Moo Hapkido black belts to even fit this page. The 4rd dan is a good boarder for the high ranking practioners. Thanks for cleaning this article up.

I wonder how someone can become a 7th Dan and above,if their age is not even 40 years old yet. Are these people from the belt factory with an express Dan promotion or what ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.214.24.19 (talk) 05:48, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Or a 9th dan that is only 40-something. Not a good state of affairs for Hapkido. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.252.175.155 (talk) 07:18, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And now we have 9th dans in their 30s with less than 25 years in Hapkido. And 10th dans... that are still alive!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.93.8 (talk) 23:30, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

At least Massan Ghorbani and Rami Vainionpää are 9th dan, not 10th like the article says. I couldn't check all the list as the info is rather hard to find. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.237.41.170 (talk) 21:47, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Links in articles[edit]

For you new, unregistered members, it is against Wikipedia policy to put a link to an outside website in the body of an Wikipedia article. You can put them in the External Links section if they are appropiate.

It is for this reason that I removed the links placed in "High ranking members" section of this article. Also, after re-thinking the title of the subdivision of this article, I have changed the chapter heading to, "Prominent members." (Hapkidoman 22:21, 1 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

These people are absolutely belt factory members, i personally knew them pretty well and they don't have much of the Hapkido knowledge nor skills. shame on you guys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.100.7.185 (talk) 17:34, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shame on those who question ranks awarded by Do Ju Nim Ji, Han Jae himself, these folks are insulting the whole art of Hapkido by being so disrespectful towards the most senior Hapkido master alive.
