Appetite Suppressant?[edit]

According to the Abbott website sibutramine is not an appetite suppressant, which it is listed as in this article. Taken from the following information (last point). http://sibutramine.com/united-kingdom/en-gb —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.86.183.190 (talk) 21:27, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Antidepressant effects?[edit]

Anyone that could give some more information on the antidepressive effects of this medicine? Threner 06.06.2005

FDA[edit]

Meridia was listed as a drug an FDA whistleblower--a doctor who is a 20 year veteran of the agency-- believes should be recalled and is not safe. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/12/07/health/main659529.shtml

You inserted this into the article as well. I've put it in the right place (in the section that deals with safety concerns). Could you help me find the Senate.gov transcript of the testimony rather than the news report, which is a secondary source? JFW | T@lk 20:56, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anorgasmia & Delayed ejaculation[edit]

I'm taking Reductil and those two side effects are listed in the prospect as "Extremely freqüent". Also, delayed ejaculation is a common side effect of Serotonine - I suffered it when taking Besitran. I'm adding them. --SatoshiMiwa 13:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Banned in Brazil[edit]

This drug has also been banned in Brazil. Would someone add that entry? Source: http://www.dgabc.com.br/News/5893382/laboratorios-tiram-emagrecedor-do-mercado.aspx (in Portuguese) 189.58.102.49 (talk) 11:48, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

no, it wasn't banned, only restricted — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.241.52.126 (talk) 08:06, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of country[edit]

Why is EU considered a country? Grekiki (talk) 19:16, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

if you are talking about the lead, please note that is says "countries and regions". With respect to drugs, the EU has a unified drug authority, the European Medicines Agency, that works with each member country's national drug regulatory authority and sometimes instead of it. That is a complicated set of relationships. But the EU is a "region" for sure. Jytdog (talk) 19:32, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"with much greater potency as MRIs."?[edit]

Apart from the wrong grammar, what should "MRIs" mean? This abbreviation is not explained and doesn't even appear anywhere else in the article again - and the usual "Magnetic Resonance Imaging" doesn't make sense here. --46.91.62.47 (talk) 09:37, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
