Proposed deletion of Shripad Dabholkar[edit]

Just saw after a few month the page was proposed for deletion Shripad_Dabholkar for these reasons: "Not notable. Can't find any reliable sources".

I'm requesting you to reconsider this. Let me explain the context. Shripad Dabholkar was very active in India between the 60's and the 90's and most of his work was on the ground, most often in local indian languages such as Maharathi.

In that context, it's not suprising that there is little information available online in english about him.

Nonetheless he was a very famous person in India who managed to build a network of indian farmers and pioneered collaborative networking practices and an Internet-type information exchange using postcards, years before the web appeared.

That's why I believe he desserves to be on wikipedia even though there are little sources online.

These are the reasons why I'm asking you to remove the page from proposed deletions.
