Shoes.com was originally registered by Alan's Shoes, Inc. in 1994. In 1998, Alan Miklofsky, President of Alan's Shoes, Inc, personally built the first website at Shoes.com as a yahoo store. In 1999, Alan's Shoes, Inc. merged into The Walking Company. Shortly thereafter, The Walking Company spun off Shoes.com into is own company. In 2000, The Walking Company sold 52% of Shoes.com to Brown Shoe Company (currently known as Caleres).

As of April 2017, Shoes.com is owned by Shoebuy.com. 2601:500:C000:7D:7416:EEBA:EC59:CB10 (talk) 06:14, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Jamietw (talk) 11:58, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The domain "shoes.com" was bought by the company formerly named "ShoeBuy," and this page should be updated to reflect that to ensure accuracy. They are now called "shoes.com." <ref> http://footwearplusmagazine.com/2017/04/news/shoebuy-snaps-up-shoes-com-domain/ Shannon.dwyer (talk) 19:32, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. The article is about the company shoes.com, not the domain. Shoe.buy apparently simply bought the domain name. At most we would mention that the domain had been bought by another company, but I don't think this article needs to say anything about the new company.
