I am new to DAB cleanup, but my understanding from observing other editors is that DAB pages are for ambiguous article names - thus I am not sure why Schmoo redirects here, where there is no article for Schmoo. If Schmoo needed disambiguation wouldn't that be a separate page? I'm also not sure about the numerous links to mentions of Shmoo in other articles like bird collections and Widgets. Shouldn't this page be for navigating articles with basically the same article name? Hi @Seraphim System:. I'm by no means an expert, but I deal with dab pages a lot. It usually makes sense to redirect slight differences in spelling that could reasonably be confused to a common, central disambiguation page (see WP:DPAGE). It's somewhat subjective where to draw the line, but falls under the WP:COMMONSENSE umbrella. My opinion is that Schmoo is correct in redirecting to Shmoo (disambiguation). Entries are allowed for articles that mention the dab term (per WP:DABMENTION), but you are right that some of these shmoos do not meet the guideline (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Widget (economics)). In those cases, I try to find a more appropriate link, but remove the entry if one isn't found. I also tend to be more strict on DABMENTION for longer dab pages.
I did want to point out that the {{disambiguation cleanup}} tag should be placed at the bottom of the page. Usually, it's done by modifying the existing {{disambiguation}} tag. [[User:|Hoof Hearted]] (talk) 20:39, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
