peer review feedback[edit]

Anna: -link to University of Iowa -do you have any more citations for all of the information in the first section? might be helpful to know where the info is coming from -i think everything looks good but you should try to link to other Wikipedia pages! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Annasamuels (talkcontribs) 18:16, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph: Overall, I found your Wiki page informative of Shirley Briggs. Within the introduction, there's a lot going on. I suggest keeping it short and brief. A lot of what's included in the introduction can be mentioned in your sections following (e.g. education, career). I suggest you create a "Death" section and include the information on Briggs' death that's in the introduction there. In addition, your wiki page should include an infobox. I also suggest you create an "Awards/Honors" section and list them using bullet points.

Ashley: I think your page has very good information, but perhaps breaking it up into different sections would make it easier to follow. I think sections like the Career section can be broken up into subcategories. For example, you talk about her research in different institutions. It would be easier to break that whole chunk of text into a new section and label it "Research", just to make everything easier to follow.

Rachel Carson Award[edit]

There are several different awards named for Rachel Carson. There is the Rachel Carson Award, given by national Audubon and the Rachel Carson Council (2004-); an award granted by the Fish & Wildlife Service (2008-); the EPA's award; and a few others. I have not found any online history of the EPA award. Dgorsline (talk) 12:43, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The above awards are in addition to the prizes and awards documented on Carson's page. Dgorsline (talk) 12:49, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
