Western Canada and NorthAm Championships[edit]

She won both, the one qualifying her for the other, the other for her pro card; I don't know the dates but just a heads-up that these are missing and if I don't get back here, could somebody please look it up and add them? Hope ya like the pix....Skookum1 18:09, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Her height[edit]

Could someone add the stats for her height in the box to the right?

She's 5 ft. 9 in.

IMDB notice`?[edit]

I imagine that's coming from someone in the WP:V/WP:R department, but I've added things to IMDB and they're very rigorous on needing citations/backup...painstaking in fact......I question the validity of the existence of such a template....and consider IMDB to more reliable than Wikipedia, "so there". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.8.117.164 (talk) 04:58, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Information[edit]

This article is very vague, but is written in a neutral tone which makes it acceptable. Unfortunately there is nothing mentioned about Sharon's education under the education heading. Secondly the only thing mentioned under early life is where she resided. I believe a bit more detail is needed in these areas. Finally a few more credible resources are necessary to make this page a reliable source, as some of websites are not reliable. Sheldonfetter (talk) 13:55, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Evaluation of Article[edit]

Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference? In relation to the Sharon Bruneau article, most of the references are not completely reliable, as I noticed some grammatical errors in the third reference, for example.

Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted? Most of the information comes from blogs, therefore they are not neutral. The bias is not noted in the article; in fact, in one of the sentences it was noted that Sharon is proud that she is one of few Aboriginal females involved in bodybuilding, which is most likely true, but the purpose of presenting information about a respected individual on wikipedia is to share facts and avoid biased opinions at any means necessary.

Is anything missing that could be added? The early life section is lacking information. I feel that the background life of an Aboriginal athlete should be rich with details as it is an important milestone that got them where they are today in sport.

Métis[edit]

AntiRaceshifitng you removed the sourced material that Bruneau is Métis. There are multiple sources that state she is Métis. Such as Female Bodybuilding Legend and Fitness Model Sharon Bruneau, Sharon Bruneau – From Bodybuilder to Bombshell, Sharon Bruneau - Femuscleblog, Female Bodybuilder Sharon Bruneau Biography, Sharon Bruneau Bodybuilder and Fitness Model and Women's Bodybuilding Origins. To refute this you posted Sharon Bruneau – From Bodybuilder to Bombshell, Métis Nation and Question 5. None of those state that she is not Métis. In fact the last two there just define under Canadian law who are Métis. It does not mention her at all. The first one says she is Métis and she says that her "native heritage is of Cherokee blood". I'm not sure how her saying that means she isn't Métis, from your edit summary "She is not Métis since she claims "Cherokee" descent." Also in your edit summary you wrote "This is also unsubstantiated since it is only family folklore." Do you have sources for this? Unless there is a source that says she is not Métis then the sources that say she is are valid. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 16:42, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
