Education[edit]

There is lot of misleading information is Shaktikanta Das's education details. 1 week courses are mentioned. Should they even be mentioned in education details? If mentioned, shouldn't we give actual nature of the courses. Link for his service sheet- https://supremo.nic.in/ERSheetHtml.aspx?OffIDErhtml=14205&PageId= INFO — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toi2324 (talkcontribs) 17:50, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Toi2324, hi! First, welcome to Wikipedia; hopefully you adjudicate this to be a place to stay! Now, on to your queries, yes, whilst I do not fully agree with you, I think the nature of the courses Das took should be mentioned in detail.
Notwithstanding that, I think these courses do merit a mention in the article; not in the infobox ('|alma_mater' parameter) or categories (x university/college alumni), though, but certainly a mention in the body is more than warranted.
As far as the nature of courses goes, I believe the advanced financial management course is a one-year one, whereas, other courses are of varying lengths per the 'Year' sub-section in the 'In-Service Training Details' section of Das' executive record sheet (the link you cited) maintained by the Department of Personnel and Training of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions of the Government of India.
Pinging @Bharat.varsh: who added the details of Das' in-service trainings to the article to explain his or her rationale.
Do not be afraid in replying if you've got any query/ies left. Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:01, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also, @Toi2324: I added a section to your comment(s); hope you do not mind! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:04, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @SshibumXZ: : In the article, you can see that a lot of phrases are colored in red like "Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society", "Department of Economic Affairs", "Department of Expenditure", "S. S. Mundra" and "deputy governor".
  • This indicates that no corresponding article exists by that name but it's linked to a page that doesn't exist. Instead of writing [[Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society]] why can't we simply write: Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society
  • Red colored phrases can mislead readers. So, we must remove the "[[ ]]" from the phrases. Also there should be the word "the" in sentence "...appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of India by ACC on..."
  • Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.41.154.249 (talk) 19:19, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I have at least followed your edit request in spirit, if not letter.
Now, those red-coloured links are called 'red links' and are not entirely bad, yes, they only appear when some term on which an article does not exist is 'wikilinked', but, they coloured red for exactly that – to warn the user that at the moment an article on the said term does not exist. All the red-linked terms have potential and will turn blue once an article on them is created; it will be beneficial when articles on the said subjects are created. Hence, red-links do very little harm and can do a world of good.
For now, I have redirected 'Department of Economic Affairs' (well, 'Department of Economic Affairs (India)') and 'Department of Expenditure' to Ministry of Finance (India).
Also, I have got to say, for an inexperienced IP your grasp of Wikipedia is quite, so much so, you seem to understand the use of <nowiki> tags; I am kind of impressed and would request you to either create a Wikipedia account or log-in to your existing Wikipedia account. Dear, SshibumXZ look at service sheet. It is not 1 year course. It is clearly written in top of rightmost column- "Duration(Weeks) .Check this tweet for screenshot- https://twitter.com/nikhilnarayanan/status/1073223438066696198 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toi2324 (talkcontribs) 17:11, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Defamatory statement by Subramanium Swamy[edit]

On appointment of Shaktikant Das, Sumbramanium Swamy called him corrupt, without showing any material proof. Aren't the mention of such defamatory statement on this page, against the spirit of Wikipedia? We need to have neutral stance on the case of responses on Shaktikant Das's appointment.
