Establishing notability[edit]

Shakti Gawain is a well-respected and well-known spiritual/self-help author. I was actually surprised that she didn't have a Wiki article. She may not be know like, say Dr. Phil, but she is know in the self-help circles. Please tell me what can be done to keep this article here. - SVRTVDude 09:29, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adding some external links apart from an official website that establish notability would probably help --Lodlongs 09:32, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
External links don't establish notability. Multiple instances of non-trivial coverage in independent, third-party sources establish notability. External links are usually just spam unless they meet WP's external links guidelines. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 05:36, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Added some references and removed prod. She's definitely a notable new-age self-help author. (total crapola, in my not-so-humble opinion, but still notable) Klausness (talk) 13:57, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Real name[edit]

What is this person's real name? "Shakti Gawain" is about the most incredibly obvious pseudonym ever chosen, unless "Shiva Lancelot" has been taken already. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 05:36, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, but I understand that she has a sister named Parvati Galahad. Augustuswindsor (talk) 17:55, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
