Shōfuku-ji (Higashimurayama)[edit]

Hello. The Shōfuku-ji was built in Kamakura Period. Liu Song Dynasty influenced an architectural technique of Kamakura Period. However, a Korean peninsula did not influence an architectural technique of Japan of this age.

Scholars call an architectural style of this temple Zenshu-Style [1][2]

I do not know the theory that Korea influenced Zenshu-Style. accordingly　I removed "Korea". What do you think?

After that, "The origin of the Japanese architecture is Korea" is added.[3]

However, the source is written like this.

The introduction of Buddhism into Japan in 538, also brought many architects from the Korean peninsula with new techniques reflecting the Chinese (Northern Wei) style of Buddhist architecture.

I feel, "The origin of a Korean culture and the Japanese culture is Chinese cultures". Therefore, I was not able to agree to the description of "The origin of the Japanese culture is a Korean culture".Please give your opinion. --青鬼よし (talk) 07:56, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. However, the article does not discuss influence from Korea or China. Rather, it states that Japanese Architecture was more advanced in certain ways compared to China and Korea. Therefore, I recommend that it stay the way it is. Bryan MacKinnon (talk) 23:50, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
