Kudrova[edit]

About this edit... I am looking at the book (except it has another ISBN number), p.175, and she does blame NKVD for forcing Tsvetaeva to commit suicide, but only indirectly. What does this all amount to?[edit]

After reading this biography, and others associated with Soviet espionage during this period, it's still not clear to me whether a) Efron was ever a spy and b) had anything to do with assassinations. I guess he was killed because of suspect associations he had with other Russians living in Western Europe. But after reading this, it's still not clear to me whether he actually did any espionage. He was obviously a target but was he really just another victim of Stalin's purge and never was an agent of the NKVD?

If he wasn't, I'm not sure that this article meets the Wikipedia criteria for notability. Thousands of people were killed during Stalin's purges in the late 1930s and we don't have an article on every one of them.69.125.134.86 (talk) 22:44, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
