This is a joke, right?

There are FIFA teams with barely more claim to nationhood than Sealand. There are teams playing outside of their claimed nation (Palestine) and teams without players from their territory (Cayman Islands). Why not Sealand? Read this article. OzLawyer 23:58, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just erased two mistakes:

The team certainly traveled to Prague and most probably played a football-match there, but they certainly did not play against the Czech Republic national football team. See: http://www.sealandfootball.dk/travels.asp

This article: http://www.fifi-wildcup.de/newsflashdetail.php?sid=13 is full of mistakes: see: http://www.rsssf.com/tablesn/ncyp-intres.html for the real matches played: Northern Cyprus won not against Kurdistan but against Kyrgyzstan; Northern Cyprus did not win against Sealand 6 - 1 but against Sápmi (Lapland) 6 - 2! --Rheinländer 22:13, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Soccer[edit]

It would be nice to disambiguate "football" in the article because there are lots of sports called like that. I belive this is a soccer team, but as I'm not sure, I won't edit. If you do, please edit the Sealand article as well. – b_jonas 18:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion[edit]

  • Support - Even if Sealand does have a football team (very unlikely since it has no football pitch and a population that rarely exceeds 10), the existence of such a team is simply not noteworthy. -- Sakurambo 桜ん坊 20:58, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
do you want to delete every article? They are an associated member of NF-Board.. what's the problem?why it's not noteworthy?
you've already deleted 5 NF-Board teams.. do you want to delete all of them? what's your problem with this organization?
":: "On the 4 March 2004, in a press release, the Sealand government website claimed the Danish club team of Vestbjerg as its national team, and announced that they had drawn their first match 2-2 against "Checkia" (presumably a football-team of Czechs)." see www.sealandfootball.dk --Calapez 23:35, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Calm down, Calapez. I'm not an admin, and I haven't deleted anything. I'm just agreeing with user:Sandstein's proposed deletion of this article. I've given my reasons above. I did see the press release, but this team is based in Denmark and consists of Danish players. It's just a publicity stunt. -- Sakurambo 桜ん坊 09:26, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
