A resident weighs in[edit]

Being a resident of Scotland, PA, I can tell you that this movie was not shot anywhere near Scotland, PA. In fact, I recall the film producers stating they weren't even *aware* of the existance of Scotland, PA. They chose the town name "Scotland" because of its relevance to the source material, and "PA" because of a belief that such crazy antics were likely to happen in PA. The film was shot in Canada, I believe near Montreal (incidentally, a Sister City of Harrisburg, a mear hour from Scotland, PA).

Actually it was filmed in Nova Scotia - a couple of provinces east of Montreal. They used a lot of the Camaros from a local Camaro club, mine included (dark green w/ white stripes 1971 Z/28 - seen when cars are going through the new 'drive thru') - 24.222.192.31 (talk) 01:43, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Brian[reply]

Film to Play[edit]

Should someone add a comparison of the film to the play, it should be noted that perhaps most famous line from the play, "Out, out damn spot!" (in earlier generations a fav amoung kids because they could curse and not get in trouble with their parents - "But mom, it's Shakespeare!") does not appear in any form in the film. This is probably due to the fact that they kill Duncan using deep-fryer and there is no drop of blood to madden Lady McBeth with. RoyBatty42 17:09, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

except that there is. she gets a spot of deep-fryer-oil on her hand and that maddens her...to the point of amputation, as i recall. Chronoso 13:10, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary[edit]

I edited the plot summary based on my watching the film twice in the last two days. I can't say the section is up to wiki standards regarding sourcing, but I've corrected some obvious errors. Mr. Swordfish (talk) 13:40, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
