I am Peter J White, the owner of Peter White Cycles, the USA and Canada importer for Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau, manufacturer of the SON.

This page implies that there is a company with the name "Schmidt Original Nabendynamo" However, the name of the Company is Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau in the city of Tübingen, Germany. One of that company's products is the hub dynamo, called "Schmidt's Original Nabendynamo", which is given the acronym "SON". So I would suggest that the page could be renamed Schmidt's Original Nabendynamo, if the page is specifically about the product the company makes, or Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau, if the page is to be about the company itself.

Regarding the hub dynamo itself, there are many models as of 2012.

(1) the standard SON, designed for bicycles with 24" to 27" wheels and rim brakes. This hub has the highest output at a given rpm.

(2) the SON disc, also for wheel sizes from 24" to 27" but with disc brakes. There are two versions, one for Shimano's Centerlock disc attachment, and another for the ISO disc attachment.

(3) the SONdelux, designed for smaller wheels which spin at higher rpm at a given speed than larger rims, and so at a given rpm have lower output. These are suitable for use with LED headlights even with larger rims since LED headlights require less power than older halogen bulb headlights.

(4) SONdelux disc, for Centerlock discs.

(5) SON XS for narrow forks on many folding bicycles.

(6) SON XS-M for tadpole style tricycles.

(7) SON 28 15 for suspension forks designed for 15mm thru axles.
