re: wikilinks (why removed?)[edit]

I unlinked the names of most of the band members (all but Jessicka and Christian Hejnal) because they were all redlinks — and, honestly, aside from their membership in Scarling., I didn't think the individual musicians were notable enough for their own articles to be anything more than redirects to the band article. If I'm wrong, though, then I'm wrong; I'm not going to unlink them again, in case someone does decide to create the articles. --keepsleeping say what 21:01, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

remove the period in body copy?[edit]

Might I suggest removing the period in the band's name in the body copy? Constructions like "Scarling.'s" make the article hard to read. Even on the band's home page they don't consistently bother with the period. This would fit with articles like Yahoo!, which use the formal name in the title and first mention, but then go with the common, un-punctuated name. --William Pietri 18:23, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hearing no objection, I'm going to be bold. --William Pietri 17:40, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ScarlingSLSryden.jpg[edit]

Image:ScarlingSLSryden.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre?[edit]

So what is the rationale behind the genre choices? I can see Gothic rock, but the other two... Noise pop and Shoegaze?? Had to look that last one up, but seeing it was a UK movement from the 80's makes me question its addition. I'd probably call Scarling Alternative Rock and Gothic Rock, kick in Noise pop at the end.Knofbath (talk) 03:14, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
