Alternate Versions[edit]

I think an alternate versions section for this page would be worthwhile. For example, the Sanctum helped move the plot along in Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness. It let Ash, Dazzler and the Scarlet Witch just stroll right in. Lots42 (talk) 21:39, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it, dude.  :) BOZ (talk) 21:52, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note of interest[edit]

In the D.C. comic book limited series 'The Challengers Of The Unkown', drawn by Tim Sale, one of the characters decides to study magic. He moves to a Greenwhich village loft with a very familar window, the landlord is a 'strange man'. If no one objects, I'll add this in as soon as I find the issue number. Lots42 (talk)

Sure! It'll be even better if you can find a link that connects it explicity to Dr. Strange. 67.162.108.96 (talk) 03:44, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Two things[edit]

- Anyone know how the Sanctum was rebuilt after it got destroyed in the Midnight Sun story? And what about the battles that spill out the front door and or happen on the sidewalk/street because of the Doc? Lots42 (talk) 03:03, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notes to try and research later[edit]

Stuff to look up later: I remember dimly, a story that indicates Doctor Strange has control of the alleyway to the right and to behind his house. Also, over in Green Lantern, I remember Kyle Rayner living in the DCU's geographical location of the Sanctum. I'm not sure how this would related to the Challenger's bit. And furthermore, I remember demons appearing from the alley next to Kyle's house. If only I could confirm whether all this was intentional. Lots42 (talk) 03:11, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sanctum SanctorumSanctum Sanctorum (Marvel Comics) – Not PT. That would be Sanctum sanctorum. The current capitalization convention is arbitrary, as can be clearly seen by the capitalization of our article Holy of Holies. An ngram shows no discernible change in capitalization because of the introduction of the Marvel usage. Srnec (talk) 21:45, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom, redirect Sanctum Sanctorum to Sanctum sanctorum.--Ortizesp (talk) 22:59, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Artw (talk) 23:11, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nominator, too small of a difference to the original Latin phrase. JIP | Talk 00:04, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Leaning support, somewhat reluctantly, but the Latin phrase will likely always have primary long-term signficance. BD2412 T 02:14, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak support the phrase probably has more long-term significance but the building has more views (4,124) than the phrase (2,030)[[1]] so it would probably be best to disambiguate. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:01, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • I would guess that this is a fairly sharp exercise in WP:RECENTISM, the popularity of this meaning directly correlating with MCU film dates. BD2412 T 23:10, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • Would agree here. Artw (talk) 16:14, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nominator. --Spekkios (talk) 22:55, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, the latin phrase, in upper or lower casing, is the significant primary here. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:16, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
