related topic [Kuffs] talks about the San Francisco Patrol Special Police and The First Law by [John Lescroart]

This article starts off by telling you what they aren't. It never seems to get round to telling you what they are. Anyone know? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.171.163.185 (talk) 14:08, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article does not conform to wikipedia manual of style. Wording of title is odd. Importance of subject is also dubious, perhaps it should be merged with other articles on private security services.Rexparry sydney 05:06, 25 August 2007 (U

Patrol Specials do appear to be law enforcement officers the SFPD website section on Patrol Specials mentions their basic training as being defined under section 832 of the California Penal Code, this is titled Arrest and Firearms training and is the minimum training for Peace Officers in California personally I do think this article is important 69.118.180.120 23:41, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image File:Patrol special patch 2.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Page needs monitoring[edit]

Someone who deals with law enforcement and/or S.F. should watch this page. I pulled a couple of combative phrases ('not real cops', 'fake police officers') while editing, but there are other tonal questions. People who don't like/respect this group may vandalize the page. • I'll second that, and if someone could please give [1] a warning about his nonconstructive edits to this page, thanks. Windscar77 (talk) 08:38, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
