When my younger brother was at the Art College in late 60s, when it was just off Hardman Street (at the back of O'Connors), he used to talk about Walsh, as if he were one of the teachers there. Pamour (talk) 13:15, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The above refers to a different Sam(uel) Walsh. Ironically, the Sam Walsh of Liverpool fame was born in Tralee, Ireland as opposed to the Samuel Walsh of this article who was born in London. The two are often mixed up in international dictionaries of artists. Sam Walsh died (I think) in 1989.
