I disagree that it should be merged seeing as he has had a career past his tenure at Death Row Records

Appearance on 'Doggystyle'

He became well known for a catchphrase, "My name is Sam Sneed, you better recognize!" which originally appeared in the song Pump Pump which appeared on the Snoop Dogg debut album, Doggystyle.

This is incorrect. The original album had 'Gz Up, Hoez Down' after the Sam Sneed interlude; it is not part of 'Pump Pump'.

this is a respectable article. sug khight and puffy combs rigged the whole thing up with the west coast east coast thing. when really they set up all there top acts for murder so they would not have to pay them millions of dollars they had coming.And they would not be able to branch out on there own. Dre and Snoop was the only ones to get out from under there contracts alive. Puffy and Sug knight kept all the masters, had knocked off biggie and tupac. Then started playin there shit and keeping all the money. Puffy always wanted biggies stardom, hoggin the mike the video dancin. He smothers the talent with his wanna be ass. Nothing original all remixes. The smaller acts like, dog pound,sam sneed,lady of rage all careers have been ruin by a ghetto minded producer who could not see the greater wealth in a happy family were every body is paid and happy. Dumb ass S. Knight could have made 20 times more money maximizing all that talent in stead he see the first 100 million and start killing every body up and beating people to death like this rapper, who clearly was somthing the rap industry neads, a positive rapper that could move the crowd! Not to mention he had the most murderous flow. His word arrangement, use of metephors, timing and poetic delivery would have put him in the top 5 rappers category easily. He was the last of the 5 minute straight rappers with about 2 maybe 3 bridges the rest all rappin and dope beats! R&B singers and extended repitiuos bridges make for good songs when blended with rap, but over usage has deminished true rap. Rap originally was about sending a message, a positive message or disclosing the negative in a posittive form. Up lifting the black people and encouraging unity and self respect was promoted through rap. Now its about name brand clothes , cars , drinks, smoke, strippers, club life, gangster life, shit that fucks you up basically. Tupac was a revolutionary, his people were blacck panthers, and apart oof social organizations for the positive black movement. People never know like I have wittnessed in Tupac in Oakland were Im from he threw fundraising performances for free and gave all the money to the community. He was a target for Oakland police. I know all to well because I just been aquitted of a gun charge after an illegal search of my home were I was charged with a licensed fire arm. Its ashame that our society attack the successful black people or find a weak one and looks the other way if black kills black and will conspire to make certain certain people go down. Oh MC Shine and Black Rob are puffies hitmen and puffy paid them off with some bunk ass single as a cover up. then everybody went to jail to really let the heat blow over. Im black but sug and puffy are niggas thats not use to figgas. Rock stars dont get killed once they sell 50 million copies. They fuckin party on DUDE! Why Black people get money and act like NIGGAS! Its cool to party and kick it and splurge if you can afford it. But dont let money and greed cause you to kill when you can always make more money when you have money. Bottomline, when 2 producers acts come up dead the money motive is there and the producers should be derectly and indirectly be investigated. Top rappers beware, if your value is due to increase your rap contract could start looking like a profitable contract hit on yourself and the producer will be the payee!! Sign of the rap times. R.I.P. Sam Sneed you was one of the best up and coming rappers that would have been gauranteed platinum. I was really looking forward to your next project. Dam these niggas is stupid.
