Mars' technique names[edit]

For the record, I'll leave here the katakana for the names of Mars' techniques, for future reference, as it is best to avoid adding the katakana for the techniques in the article to avoid excessive text. And the techniques article was made for that purpose anyway.

- ルーベルシュルス・グングニル (romaji: Rūberushurusu-Gunguniru)

- ムルス・イグヌ (Romaji: Murusu Igunu)

I appreciate that you gave me some leeway on the wiki page, so let's keep this relatively short and sweet. Those readings are not 'official' unfortunately, and I'd rather wait for official word on them. For instance, 'Gunguniru' is the correct word (a lance can clearly be seen on a single frame), but Shibata pronounces it 'Ganguniru'.

As for episode 2's title, 新世代 means 'new generation', whatever you make of it. There just isn't another translation. I double-checked with a Japanese after we started arguing, and he replied that it can only be translated as such -- as a reference to the earlier generation (Seiya & co). So "Shinsedai no Saint" could be "Saints of the new generation", "Saint of the new generation", or "New generation of Saints". I chose to go with "New generation of Saints" here, but it could be any of these really, depending on whether you want to consider the entire title a full sentence (like in most of the original show's titles that were split in half but were often just a single sentence), or two different ones.

New "age" would definitely take the focus away from the passing of generations. Which is why it seems inappropriate for me, even though it does sound better. But we're looking for the most correct translation here, not the one that sounds best.

Unlike what I thought, it's transcribed as Gunguniru even though he pronounces it Ganguniru :)

They didn't specify any other technique though, so I'm still at a loss whether he says "Murus Ignu" or, more likely, "Murus Ignis".

The Spelling of Kouga's Name[edit]

Why does this wiki page spell Kouga's name with a "u", even though Hyōga's name is spelled with "ō"? Furthermore, the official Crunchyroll subs spell Kouga's name as "Koga". What's with this inconsistency? What should be the "end-all, be-all" romanization of "Kouga"?

If the official subs say "Koga" then we should go with "Koga" on Wikipedia. WP:MOS-JA states to only use the form like Kōga if there is no known form in the English language that either uses "Koga" or "Kouga".
