Why is damage to a radio linked to abandoning ship?Captainbeefart (talk) 16:03, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If there were 463 passengers and crew on board when she was torpedoed and 15 were killed (14 in the engine room and 1 on deck) then it stands to reason that there were 448 survivors rescued, not 463 as stated. Further, if she was torpedoed and sank on 29 April it is highly unlikely that the survivors landed on 1 April.DavisGL (talk) 16:18, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A number of changes were made in two edits here, including the change from Greenock to Gourock, and details over the number of survivors. U-boat.net has '468 (16 dead and 452 survivors).' breaking this down into '15 crew members and one passenger were lost. The master, 170 crew members, eight gunners and 273 passengers were picked up...' I will revert the changes as unsourced and dubious. Benea (talk) 17:08, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
