As a writer, teacher, activist and politician at the turn of the twentieth century, Khalidi is an important historical figure, especially regarding early opposition to the Zionist movement in the Ottoman Empire. This is evident in references to his lifetime's works in books, websites and articles on both sides of the Zionist movement. Because of this, I believe dissemination of knowledge regarding Ruhi al-Khalidi is very important.

That might hold true, but this article is an example on how wikipedia shouldn't work: reding the article Khalidi seems far important for his intellectual biography as an arab during Ottoman times.
