1. Ruby released a total of seven albums:

Ruby released apparently no singles.

2. Ruby was not initially distributed by Warner Bros. It went through the same independent distributors that handled its corporate parent, Slash. When Warners bought Slash, they took over distribution of Ruby's three most popular albums ("Fire of Love", "The Misfits Walk Among Us", "The Days of Wine and Roses") and deleted the others. The WB-distributed version of "Fire of Love" has an altered cover design, but the CD reissues on Slash and Rhino use the original artwork.

Ruby Records Today

Now, Ruby Records is an independent label located in Columbus, Ohio. It was created in 2000 by Josh Posten (Chronic Taper, Mr. POSTman). In 2004, Robert Coulter (Fade) and Robert Humphrey (Bobby) were both made presidents. At first it was just a production company, Chronic Taper Productions (CTP), producing and selling rap/r&b insturmentals to local rap/r&b singers. Then, in 2005, the label signed four local rap artists: Jeff (Dudt), Jamal Jones (J. Jones, Mal) and Terence Robinson (T$). The name, Chronic Taper, came from an ironic source. The history teacher at FHMEC, Mr. Riley, suggested it to Josh when he had his class, saying that when he was a kid he was a 'Chronic Taper'. Productions, was thus for added to the end to create, CTP. The further name, Ruby Records, originated from hunger. Josh Posten was driving to his house from downtown, when he was stopped at a red light. Filled with hunger he looked over, and saw the resturaunt, 'Ruby Tuesday's'. Thus, it clicked and Ruby Records was created.
