Father's name[edit]

This doesn't make sense. Itt just repeats the same name. Why would Rowland Hazard only be SOMETIMES referred to as Rowland Hazard? "Hazard was born in South Kingstown, Rhode Island in 1801. His parents were Rowland Hazard (sometimes referred to as Rowland Hazard I[1])" 93.97.194.138 (talk) 04:57, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The father's name was "Rowland Hazard." His son and several other of his descendants were also "Rowland Hazard", but there were different middle names, so it is not necessarily valid to call them "senior," "junior", etc. To avoid confusion, some sources call the father "Rowland Hazard I" as in "Rowland Hazard the first". --Orlady (talk) 11:29, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
