Difference between opening credits and closing credits[edit]

Since this feature lists its cast in both the opening credits and in the end credits, it should be noted that, while the billing of the first eight names (Jack Carson, Janis Paige, Don De Fore, Doris Day, Oscar Levant, S. Z. Sakall, Fortunio Bonanova, Eric Blore) remains the same, the opening credits list William Bakewell 9th, Franklin Pangborn 10th, Avon Long 11th and The Samba Kings 12th. The end credits, however, list Franklin Pangborn 9th, Leslie Brooks 10th, William Bakewell 11th, Johnny Berkes 12th and Specialty Players The Samba Kings 13th, Avon Long 14th, The Page Cavanaugh Trio 15th and Sir Lancelot (singer) 16th.
Furthermore, although IMDb lists S. Z. Sakall's character as "Uncle Lazlo Lazlo" and AFI Catalog lists him as "Lazlo Lazlo", the on-screen name in end credits is "Uncle Lazlo". Also, IMDb lists William Bakewell's character as "Dudley", but the end credits list him as "Travel Agent". —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 20:42, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
