Zhukov link goes to a serial killer[edit]

Under the "track" headline, the zhukov link is probably wrong..since it leads to a serial killer — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.224.132.68 (talk) 19:52, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of National Football League in lede.[edit]

There has been a constant effort to remove reference to the National Football League (NFL) from the lede, which is problematic on the following fronts:

  • He is notable not for being a quarterback, but for being a quarterback in the NFL.
  • By the second sentence, we say "NFL Draft". By referencing the NFL without identifying what it is, we are missing information and will confuse readers who are unfamiliar with the NFL.
  • While he is available to sign with other leagues, Griffin is still recognized as an NFL player, with the league's official website identifying him as an unrestricted free agent.

To the notion "that NFL is not stated" for other free agent players, that is a WP:OTHERSTUFF argument and cannot be used to justify what is and isn't included. Bluerules (talk) 22:27, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

former vs free agent[edit]

in my opinion, this is an instance where we would use free agent still in the lead as opposed to former. griffin has only been out of the league for 1 year, and while yes he was working for espn as an analyst, it was in his contract that he could still play if given the opportunity. So what I mean by this is him broadcasting should not determine him as former. I’d like to hear someone else’s thoughts on this before I make any changes. I removed the word former from the lead, which I think makes it fit better in this instance. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:40, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
