Prim's Undergraduate Education: University of Texas at Austin[edit]

There is a single biographical reference to Robert C. Prim that appears to have been copied and pasted in a number of websites as well as the book, Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications by Kenneth H. Rosen, that erroneously state that Robert Prim received his Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, when in fact he received it from the University of Texas at Austin. It's not clear which reference is the source of the error. His graduation from UT-Austin is supported by the linked obituary to his late wife Alice Prim, who also graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where they met. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greenboite (talk • contribs) 17:15, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Still alive?[edit]

Can someone verify that he's still alive? I found an unsourced reference that he died in 2012. I find it hard to believe that he'd be alive at nearly 100 years old, although it is possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.37.210.104 (talk • contribs) 12:55, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you are referring to howold.co (unreliable and globally blacklisted hence no full link), which states that he died on January 13, 2012. I cannot find reliable sourcing for this date but if we can find it, then we should update the article. If it is true, it should be findable in the Social Security Death Index. I'm pretty sure Robert Clay Prim Jackson (1921–2001) is a different person, despite some similar specifics. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:27, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
