Where fashion sits[edit]

"The fourth brother, George, acted as their manager". It would be first class passenger if someone could date George's birth and death, as per the other brothers, or say something about him. I've done the standard Google searches, but there's nothing about him on the internet, unless he is this man, which is unlikely but not impossible. -Ashley Pomeroy 01:14, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My searches also came up empty - part of the problem might be that George possibly didn't use the 'Ritz' name. He might have gone by George Joachim, or adopted yet another name. 62.158.93.97 11:15, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have done some recent research because... it is 11pm and I am bored. I also saw a Ritz Brother's movie recently.
So here's a thing I found: George Joachim was born in 1896, and there was another brother before Al Ritz named William, born in 1897
I have never really participated in the wikiverse until very recently, but I've been reading stuff since the early 00s. Figured I'd try to help with info.

William Joachim: https://www.geni.com/people/William-Joachim/6000000026257658807
The documents on this site also show details for the rest of the Ritz Brothers. Their father, Max Joachim, lists the Ritz/Joachim.

However I am not sure of the accuracy of this source, but thought I'd throw something out there. Jackuul (talk) 06:04, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
More updates!
George Aaron Joachim was born 31 August 1896, and died April of 1970 at age 73. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/96014017/george-aaron-joachim
William Joachim was born 7 February 1897, and died April 1927 at age 30. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81029584/william-joachim
I hope this has helped complete some small part of the family history. Jackuul (talk) 06:10, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Look up Leonard Maltin's book "Movie Comedy Teams" and you'll see that the Ritz's first film was Hotel Anchovy (1934) Fox-Educational. M Bateman-Graham 203.171.197.81 (talk) 12:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They are referred to in this book in the setting of Balanchine getting them mixed up with the Warner brothers and complaining he would never be able to teach the latter how to dance. Chapter 6. 100.15.127.199 (talk) 23:54, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
