I'm concerned about respecting the WP policy reported here. Given this policy, is it appropriate for us to be including recent news stories about Richard Delong? I have never encountered a situation like this before on WP and would appreciate advice from editors who are experienced with the BLP policy. Opus33 (talk) 22:50, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not experienced with the BLP policy; in fact have not worked on Wikipedia articles in awhile. But I read the policy at your link and my understanding is that this is a person notable for his relationship to Sacred Harp singing and this recent news story would not meet the criteria for inclusion. I guess whether this recent news is relevant to his notability could be somewhat a matter of opinion. Rlvaughn (talk) 01:30, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, RLV. I also checked this with an administrator, Antandrus, who recommended not introducing this material at this time. Opus33 (talk) 02:20, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
