Should mention creation of algal culture collections[edit]

This article would be improved by mentioning that R. Starr was an important figure in developing algal culture collections in the US, including (I think) the Indiana Culture Collection of Algae, which later became the Univ. Of Texas Culture Collection of Algae (UTEX). His contributions to understanding Volvocalean algae should also be expanded. Phycophile (talk) 00:09, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
