Added secondary references[edit]

I added secondary references (reviews from redferret, and memeburn websites), a link to a Youtbe howto video posted by a user (not the developpers) and links to an unofficial Retroshare wiki handled by fans with no connexion to the developers either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Csoler (talkcontribs) 15:12, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

VoIP working[edit]

The VoIP plugin is already existing — Preceding unsigned comment added by MojoPriest (talkcontribs) 17:21, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The VoIP plugin is working and has been extensively modified and updated using OpenCV for use in version 0.6.* which is under active development. Tjandamurra (talk) 03:41, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The final sentence in the final paragraph -- "Friends with whom connection is made directly, and via which the data is passed, can not understand if a file request is made or forward them to other friends." -- makes no sense.Doug1943 10:21, 18 November 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doug1943 (talkcontribs)

Indeed, unfortunately a number of sentences are problematic... and unreferenced. 76.10.128.192 (talk) 13:04, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

After checking the refs listed in the AfD, this is notable, and there's a couple of sources that could be added, most interestingly the [1] by Glyn Moody. Widefox; talk 08:51, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong info about tunneling[edit]

"Although the intermediary friends cannot determine the original source or ultimate destination they can see the contents of the data that passes through them." No, you can't. The data stream is encrypted, so all one sees is there's a connection running through them. You might be able to see how big the file was (if it's only one), but never what it is. I changed that in the article. 138.246.2.200 (talk) 15:17, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

About F2F category[edit]

RetroShare must add many strangers for the channel and forum working well, not only the friends you know. So i think it should not be called F2F any more, maybe Anonymous P2P is logical.

Request: Please move this article into to the proper name, Retroshare[edit]

While the project over the years has used both RetroShare and Retroshare within the software, the documentation and website, the proper name is Retroshare, as one can confirm from the website[1]. Yes the screenshot states RetroShare, and it is clearly version 0.6.1 (which dates back to 2016), the current git-built has Retroshare-title. Could someone please move this article into Retroshare please? Shinyrust (talk) 12:20, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion request[edit]

The Retroshare software Wikipedia page seems to be very promotional. The Retroshare Software isn't known to many people and is pretty outdated. It's Wikipedia page was even nominated for deletion back in 2012! Maryna Viazovska (talk) 09:03, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
