Game influences

I believe the game might be something of mix between Code: Veronica and RE4. Alice's abilities are apparently remiscant of those of the main antagonist in CV and the setting (the Australian outback) seems to at least nod in the more out-doorsy setting of RE4. Does anyone agree? Should it be mentioned in the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.248.122.134 (talk) 10:13, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

Who keeps adding Jill?

There has been no confirmation whether Sienna is in or out. Can we please just keep her as unconfirmed until we have some real, undisputed proof of her status?

Unfortunately some people won't listen and they keep on adding her whenever someone removes her out of the casting list. Someone has also keep on adding Charlie Clausen as Chris Redfield into the casting list too. Eikichi 00 21:42, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Why is the production section in reverse chronological order?

This should really be fixed. Reading over it myself I got quite confused before I realized it was in backwards order.

Chris Redfield in the RE movies

I think if Chris does appear either in Extinction or the fourth film, he should be played by Australian actor Charlie Clausen. He actually looks like the character of Chris, unlike Nicholai and Carlos. He is also a good actor and did a lot of physical stuff on the show Blue Heelers. Here is his pic:

http://members.optusnet.com.au/wfedor/blogspot/charlieclausen.jpg

What do you think? Some Australian newspapers are saying his in talks for it so I hope he does get the role.

Slayerlover: I think that they could find somone better known and more attractive to play Chris. Charlie just seems like the type of person that would play the geeking friend in a comedy trying to get girls. It's his facial structure, it's not strong enough and gives a sense of chubbieness.

I think he looks like the actor who played him in the live action sequences for the original RE game.

I TOTALLY AGREE, AUSTRALIANS ARE HOT AND SOOO WORTH GOING TO A MOVIE TO SEE The Resident Evil 11:54, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

There will be no fourth film. If you go to the Sony's official website for the movie and read the synopsis, the first sentence will tell you that RE: Extinction will be the third and final movie in the series. 09bmarcu 02:04, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

They should cast Alyson Court for Claire

For those of you who didn't know, the reason why Claire is the only character in the games with decent voice acting is because she is voiced by a rather good actor, Alyson Court.

She did numerous voice acting for different shows including the X-Men cartoons. She was also live for her own Kids TV show and she hosted a kid's segment on CBC. Based on her look, you can clearly see that Capcom designed the model of Claire on her:

http://i4.tinypic.com/10muczt.jpg

So not only could we have the voice of an actual Resident Evil/Biohazard character, but we'd get another actor that looks like her video game counterpart (the first being Jill).

I disagree...Claire is played by the best character ever. This gal did s fabulous job in the Final Destination movies, and now she is in the Resident Evil movies. My two favorite movies with my favorite actress is nearly orgasmic (if only i were str8)...stop being an idiot. there is a reason this woman does voice acting!!! Movie Poster

I dont think that the poster that was put on this page is actually the poster for the movie. It looks like the cover from the Resident Evil Soundtrack or the teaser poster with some added text, that could have easily been done in a paint program.

I agree Empty2005 05:27, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

New Movie Poster Added Becky-RE-fan 02:10 (UTC)

Once again, the poster is a fan poster and I dont think it should be used. We should wait until they actually start filming the movie and send out an official poster to put something on. I think we should leave the poster blank for now; I'll take it off if no one cares in a couple days. Lindsey8417 22:59, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Cast Confirmation and Rumor Control

For anyone that cares.

My edits aren't inaccurate, in fact I seem to be the only one that is actually following this movie closely.

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117941569?categoryid=1238&cs=1&query=resident+and+evil&display=resident+evil

Variety.com stated on April 16th that Oded, Sienna, Ian, and Mike Epps will all be returning. This fact for some reason escapes some folks here on Wikipedia and they keep deleting this update everytime I try to include it in the production history.

They made no mention what so ever of Debra Marshall. In fact if anyone actually bothered to do any research, any at all, they would see that THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO TALK of Debra Marshall even being in the film. There are only 3 sites that make mention of her. Wikipedia and IMDB are two and they are both user submitted (hence their lack of credibility) and Bloody-Disgusting.com which just one day posted Debra in the cast list despite the fact that they didn't have any article or news update citing the information. MTV.com never reported her addition to the cast either despite what was preciously reported.

Also, Jensen Ackles and Lindsey Armstrong have not been mentioned by a single reputable movie news site either (in fact they haven't even been mentioned by any movie news site for that matter).

I am trying to make sure this page is filled with the most up to date information and not just filled with internet rumors. DirtyDale 01:02, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Sources...Please use them

When ComingSoon.net reported that the Milla, Oded, Sienna, Mike, and Iain would be returning it had Variety backing it as the original source.

When ComingSoon.net reported that Ali, Chris, and Ashanti were added to the cast they had The Hollywood Reporter backing it as the original source.

Anyone see where I'm going with this?

Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are legitimate businesses. They are highly respected, they have high standards (meaning they don't just post stuff for the sake of getting attention), and they are extremely reputable.

Now lets all try and agree on something. Information from Variety/The Hollywood Reporter > information from random internet gaming site. Can we all agree on this? Cause if we can then I think then everyone will understand why I don't like seeing rumors like the Debra Marshall one being added to this Wikipedia page.

I agree, i keep adding posts on the main pages requesting sources or stating that "sources have yet to be provided" because i refuse to take information for truth if i don't have a source for it The Resident Evil 11:57, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Trimming the Page

Does anyone else think that this page just looks messy? I think the whole production history for instance should be cut altogether or summarized in some form. It's fun to see that there's finally some concrete info on the film but I think there's a lot more info here than is required. In fact of all the upcoming video game movies this probably has the most longest page. In the Name of the King, Spy Hunter (film), DOA: Dead or Alive or even Postal (film) don't have such ridiculously long pages, this would easily outlength Silent Hill (film) once the film gets out. (user:HannuMakinen)

  • I wouldn't call the page messy, but it sure could using some trimming and changes in grammar! Empty2005 12:20, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, what he said...--Centurion Ry 12:41, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Well I still think the production history looks like a horrid bunch of text, but thanks for the effort Empty2005. I removed the characters section from the Trivia section entirely and some other points that were essentially repeating what had been said a bit up the page. I also removed a sentence that really confused me that said that it is uncertain if the events of this film will lead on into the fourth. Up until now I've taken the claim that the events of the films do connect for granted but now I'm not sure what to think. I also removed a bullet-point near the top about "Alice's fate" as redundant. Still, I hope this page gets an overhaul once the movie comes out. (user:HannuMakinen)

AOL interview page

Is anyone else having problems accessing the AOL page that has the new article? The one that supposedly confirms that there will not be a 4th movie (despite MovieWeb.com already reporting that Jeremy Bolt himself has said there will be a 4th film) and that Debra is going to be Cindy (jesus...will this god awful rumor just die already).

The fact that it is just one of those basic web templates that anyone can set up in 5 minutes really makes me question the reliability of the information.--DirtyDale 20:04, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Merging production history?

Why does this film have its own production history article? Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Some of this information can be merged into the article, like the Game Head Special information, while others just aren't necessary, like step-by-step IMDb updates. Does anyone mind if I call for a merge? --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 14:38, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, months ago it was in the article. The production section was really quite long and bloated so it was moved here. -Lindsey8417 08:30, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
While I don't know much about merging policies, Resident Evil: Extinction does not seem to be a notable enough film to have its own sub-article about production. Information about this film shouldn't "spill out" into other articles; and from the looks of the production history article, someone wanted to keep all the information instead of compressing it into the relevant information and keep it in the core article. Does anyone want to help me bring the production history back into this article? --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 18:53, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
I honestly feel that sepperating the production history is a good idea...i find this movie to be very important and can take up as much space as it would like. And i hate trying to dig through websites for the latest production information, so by putting it on its own page and putting newest information at the top of the page, it makes life SO much easier The Resident Evil 12:03, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
The production history should be merged (with alot less information) into the article. Wikipedia isn't a collection of information, I've see ZERO other production history articles. While somewhat interesting, it's not that important. RobJ1981 20:53, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Ashanti Character

I dont know if this relates in any way at all, but I noticed that her character shares the same name as Jaime King's character in Pearl Harbor. They are both Nurse Betty... Well, is there anything about her being named after being inspired by that role, or am I just thinking too much into this. -Lindsey8417 23:19, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

I think you're thinking too much into this. :) "Nurse Betty" always had a nice ring to it... I wouldn't be surprised if the name "Nurse Betty" originated from something even earlier, actually. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 23:28, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Jill Valentine in the end of Resident Evil Extinction with Chris Redfield

I don't have a link, source or any sort of detail to prove to you guys on this, so don't ask.

But My cousin who lives in Mexico City said that he seen Jill on set, and sure enough it was Sienna, she was wearing a pair of blu jeans with holes in them and a green tank top and holding a script in her hand, she stood with Milla Jovovich and Spencer Locke along with Milla's stunt double.

So he dosnt have a digital camera or anything, and was unable to really describe alot of the neat things he seen, I hardly speak any spanish so the conversation was through my grandma on the phone.

But I guess when he was leaving set he spotted her so Im hoping it was her! And the clothing he said didn't seem like her costume, it was too normal for the film. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Matiasyanez (talkcontribs) 01:47, 22 December 2006 (UTC).

Extinction is without Jill: Confirmed by Sienna Guillory

Ok, well I'm not sure if this was already known form some other source, but in an interview with Empire about her film Eragon, Guillory was asked if she was going to participate in RE:E. Her answer as follows: It was that awful thing of bad timing and things not happening at the right time. I was doing something else and couldn’t be there and the stars didn’t align, which is a shame.[1] So there it is. Maybe its going to be like the Saw 3 and Donny W. thing, and she'll make a suprise appearence. I dont know. -Lindsey8417 12:56, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

This interview is old. in this moment Eragon no is filming, she will can be filming resident evil extinction in this moment, lack more of mediuum year but what Resident Evil Extinction is opening.

Well, this is the first actual evidence from Sienna herself, but then again, she could very well still make an appearence in the film. As an example we can take the whole Donny Wahlburg and Saw 3 thing. It was denied numerious times that he'd appear in the film, it was even said on his official website and he wasn't on the cast list for Saw 3 until the film came out... which is when voila! there he was. So there is still a pretty good chance that Sienna could make some kind of brief suprise cameo.

every is possible.

No, the movie doesn't really have anything to do with Global Warming (not sure about the Florida part; I actually didn't catch that). Information from Comic-con

They showed the official trailer and a clip that was also showed at Wonder-con. The clips don't say all that much new material, aside from the whole cloning bit in more detail. Umbrella apparently have cloned Alices in her red dress from the 1st film in both a replica mansion (the laser room was also shown where she did a similar thing to what One did in the first film: hanging on the metal rafter thing on top as a small bit of her dress is cut off) and the hospital (in which the clone gets shot dead by a floating device that shoots out I think bullets). Once the Alice the clone Alice was shot dead, she is thrown into a pit with a bunch of other dead clones. They're all surrounded by the undead inside the chain link fence. Tyrants. Crows. Dogs. Nothing all too new. But they showed the clip of the gun fight in the desert featuring Alice, Claire, Carlos, LJ, Chase, Mikey, and K Mart. More violent than I initially thought. I'm not sure if that was at all new. But I have video of the panel afterwards. -Lindsey8417 22:55, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

is it because the "Zombies" have no body defence as they are like decaying and stuff. And so if they go to a place thats cold, their ammalian instincts, which warm them up, would fail, and so they'd freeze. OV —The preceding signed but undated comment was added at 08:42, August 24, 2007 (UTC).

Novelization

Should there be any addition of the novelization to this article? PureSoldier 09:43, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, it conflicts with the official press releases in at least one major aspect. It could be deliberate misdirection to protect the movie (like X-Men 2's novelization), or it could be that someone was misinformed or changed their minds. Either way, probably best to either clearly denote such information as being sourced in the novelization, or wait for the movie to hit theaters. ATimson 04:38, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Which aspect is that? PureSoldier 03:24, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
The book ends with a very clear "to be continued" notice, as well as a very large plot hook left open for said continuation (the army of Alices). However, multiple press releases have indicated that this is the last RE movie. ATimson 18:32, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Ah. I was under the impression that I had seen something other than the book saying that there was still the possibility that there was other movies. However, in any case, that would not stop the cliffhanger from entering the movie, whether there is another RE movie or not. It would be very rude on the case of the producers, but I could see it happening anyway. PureSoldier 10:13, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Game connections

In particular this:

At the end of the movie Alice fights the Tyrant in a replica of the Spencer Mansion (which is used as a training facility for the Alice Clones) much like Claire Redfield does in the game Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

This is incorrect in terms of game connection info, since Claire never did fight a Tyrant in the recreated Spencer Mansion segment of Code Veronica, she did, however, encounter it on the grounds of the Ashford estate prior to it boarding the plane she and Steve Burnside rode to the Arctic.

The Spencer Mansion recreation occurs further into the game, after Chris Redfield arrives in the Arctic area and he encounters Albert Wesker and a transformed/mutated Alexia Ashford in the replica foyer. No Tyrant encounter is had there at all.

Just thought this was worth clarifying. --75.2.4.53 03:35, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

The movie had nothing to do with CODE: Veronica at all, and the source the article cites says it's only a rumor. I think that part of the article ought to be stricken. And while we're at it, "Mikey, the computer junkie is secretly in love with Claire, similar to how Steve Burnside secretly falls in love with Claire in Resident Evil: Code Veronica" is a HUGE assumption and has no basis of fact. Claire's just really pissed when Mikey dies. And moreover, there's nothing connecting Alexander Slater and Alexander Ashford. One is an executive. The other was that AND a researcher. Drawing connections between the two because somebody doesn't like Slater in-movie is preposterous. And THEN there's conflicting connections about Slater's death. So is he killed similarily to Wesker in RE1, or Biohazard 4D Executer? Wesker was killed after activating the tyrant, and he meant for it to happen. And THEN someone compares the whole thing to the Birkin scene from RE2. Who thought up these connections? They all contradict each other! PlayItBogart 14:23, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

I think most of the game connections are mere speculation. Someone should try and find sources that say that is what the film makers intended, because if not, then it's considered orignal research. Besides, with this whole game connections thing in the first place, we can basically twist it any which way we want to. Like, I can just go off and say Alice is like Chris Redfield: they both help people, are involved in the fight against Umbrella, are both people, use guns and blah blah. The game connections should be there if they're notable and if they have some kind of outside source. -Lindsey8417 05:56, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Most of the entries under this section are extreme stretches...I don't think that warrants having them there. 71.210.162.135 06:13, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
A lot of the connections I can understand, especially if they're pretty much spot on (i.e. Wesker in an executive position and not in the field). But the whole CODE: Veronica angle has to go. The source cited for it says Rumored characters to appear in the the new "Resident Evil" movie are Leon S. Kennedy, Albert Wesker, Claire Redfield and Chris Redfield. Its also said that the movie will have similarities to the game "RE: Code Veronica". Half of it was wrong, and for the life of me I can't find anything remotely substantial to connect Extinction to CV. Now if the movie had been a complete borefest, twice as long as it needed to be, and had way too much item searching, then MAYBE I could believe it. PlayItBogart 16:57, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Ok, well I'm going to remove the game connections from the article and place it here until we can either find sources or something that would give it a notable enough reason to be put back. That being, if the filmmakers intended for that to be a reference to the game. -Lindsey8417 22:43, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Odds are we're never going to know until it comes out on DVD and they put clips of the game alongside clips of the movie. PlayItBogart 03:33, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

  • The event in which Dr. Isaacs is ordered to be assassinated but narrowly escapes death and injects himself with his own virus, ultimately mutating into a Tyrant-like creature, could be very well based on the same event in Resident Evil 2 in which William Birkin also injects himself and mutates into a creature similar to a Tyrant after nearly being assassinated. Or, alternately, this could reference the occurrence and aftermath of the assassination of Dr. James Marcus, as shown in Resident Evil 0.
  • The Tyrant in the film has a resemblance T-002 Tyrant from Resident Evil but attacks like the T-091 Tyrant does with his tentacles (from Resident Evil:Dead Aim)
  • Albert Wesker's role is Chairman of Umbrella, much like the role Wesker is seeking during and after the events of Resident Evil 4.
  • Albert Wesker communicates with his top scientists and managers of Umbrella on a regular basis either via e-mail, phone call, or holographic image, which is somewhat similar to how Wesker talks with Ada Wong in Resident Evil 4.
  • The way Captain Alexander Slater dies (with tentacles destroying his face) is very similar to the final death of Biohazard 4D Executer, a Japanese theme park film attraction based on the game. Also, the expression in the face of the Tyrant resembles the creature in the game attraction.
  • The idea that Alice can be controlled at times by Dr. Isaacs is similar to Leon Kennedy and Ashley Graham being controlled at times by Osmund Saddler from Resident Evil 4.
  • In the opening sequence, an Alice clone walks up to a door and a close up is taken of the door opening. This is a reference to the older Resident Evil games where the player would watch in the first person perspective as a door opens.

Spoiler Tag

I added a spoiler tag for the "Plot" section. MastaFighta 18:35, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Spoiler tags are not needed for plot sections as per WP:Spoiler. It is obvious that spoilers are going to be told in the plot summary. Essentially, spoiler tags are needed for sections that tell spoilers, but they are in places where readers would not expect to have significant plot details revealed. I added a {{current fiction}} tag instead -Lindsey8417 22:31, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
aren't the plot sections too long though? i mean, if i came here, read the plot, i wouldn't bother seeing the movie, as i now know what happens (to me this would mean i'm spoiled, therefore it's a spoiler). should plot sections not be short, and not give everything away?? just my opinion, this seems to be a never ending debate!! having read the plot section, it's not even in order!! the cloned alice's trying to escape the mansion etc, and then being dumped, is shown at the start of the movie! i thought there would even have been reference to the fact this film starts as the first film starts... it is a bit long winded in places, giving too much detail, but in other parts, skips over a lot of info! like i said, just my opinion (which i believe i am still permitted to have! :P) 77.101.18.129 21:22, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Helicopter Sighting

What helicopters have been seen? Was that a MH-53 Pave Low? The Umbrella corporation used two copters during the movie.(TougHHead 06:07, 2 November 2007 (UTC))

Oceans? Oxygen?

It's mentioned in the article that the virus has dried up all the oceans. This needs explaining. How can a virus dry up oceans? And if all the water is gone and all the plants are dead, where is the oxygen coming from?

If the answer is "It's just a movie," then that needs to be covered too.

No, I haven't seen the movie, and don't intend to. One thing I value Wikipedia for is filling me in on interesting details about movies I'll never go see.

--192.18.43.225 22:47, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

It is never explained in the movie why the T-Virus dried up the oceans.--Mmmundo 23:39, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Maybe the virus separated the hydrogen molecules from the oxygen molecules? No more large bodies of water... plants died, deserts gave way... people starved to death, virus re-animated their corpses... good enough explanation?

-G —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.117.158.83 (talk) 03:48, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

The movie never states that oceans dried up just lakes and rivers. This is what Alice says.

"The umbrella corporation thought they had contained the infection, they were wrong. Raccoon City was just the beginning. With in weeks the T-Virus had consumed the United States, with in months, the world. The virus didn't just wipe out human life, lakes and rivers dried up, forest became deserts and whole continents were reduced to barren wastelands. Slowly but surely the earth began to wither and die."

The T-Virus kills plant life in the movies instead of mutating them like in the game. So when plant life is killed then things like desertification, salinisation, erosion, droughts, landslides etc. etc. The world's landscape and climate would change drastically and eventually smaller bodies of water would dry up. Would it happen in five years? Probably not but it's a science fiction movie with a fiction virus so liberties were probably taken.

DirtyDale 01:39, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, there is little sense that a single T-virus can dry up land and kill plant life (i haven't watched the movie or played the game, but I find this to be ridiculous). But since it's fiction, the writers can exaggerate the abilities of a certain virus. There are a lot of differences between games, book, and movies, and you will find that in ALL form of media (heck, the Harry Potter movies barely follow the book plot). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dark paladin x (talkcontribs) 03:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

the one thing i had a problem with in this movie was...

the fact a crappy wire fence kept the undead out of the umbrella compound, yet the undead could rip metal windows off the vehicles. has this ever been addressed anywhere? by those that made the film? just seems a bit contradicting!! 77.101.18.129 21:32, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

The compound is buried underground, so the zombies probably don't really know that anyone is there (except when people come to the surface to discard the corpse of one of the Alice clones). If they can't smell the people, and they only see them every now and then, they probably don't pay the place too much mind. Chri$topher

Trivia

I re-wrote the trivia section with some more "noticible" facts. But is it possible to intergrate them into the other contents? Thanks.--Vintei 23:40, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

I think the correct term here is "notable", but as per WP:Trivia (as I have already explain to you as well, Vintei): "Trivia sections should be avoided, but if they must exist, they should in most cases be considered temporary, until a better method of presentation can be determined." I've added a tag to integrate the material into the article. The note about Milla in the song playing during the trailers was already in the Promotion section, the Kukri knives note should have a referece, as should the Zatoichi Square note, and the reference to the games (as already discussed here on the talk page) should be added later on when it is confirmed by the film makers as an actual reference to the games rather than a coincidence. The note about the Jovovich-Hawk is on the Alice (Resident Evil) article, however, placing it in the Production section seems well enough if you think it should still be there. -Lindsey8417 04:16, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Resident evil extinction.jpg

Image:Resident evil extinction.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. College students in a mini < Zombies in a shipping crate.

Has anyone got a numerical count on the seemingly multiple hundreds of zombies that emerged from a shipping crate approximately 30 foot long by 10 high and wide? I lost count once it got up into the 80's. I'm curious if the crate was so densely packed, given that the lighting of the internals of it would have reduced it's usable length by a good 10 feet, how they could have possibly integrated that oddity into the film?

Or was it an attempt to break the laws of pyshics assuming RE fans are all dumb, or incapable of counting? :P Given that the average adult male requires 2 foot in width and 1 in depth, if humans were perfectly squared to those proportions that gives us a MAXIMUM of 100 under some MAJOR compression in the rear 20 foot of that container. Anyone got an actual count? 210.49.15.52 (talk) 16:28, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

The same zombies move fast enough to be seen in multiple different scenes. So you basically should only count the ones actually seen emerging from the crate specifically during the first appearance. No way was that 80. --Bishop2 (talk) 16:32, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
I counted killed zombies only. There's no other way to identify them otherwise, so each one being put down can be safely counted as one of the zombies from the crate. Count for yourself, if you dare! :P 210.49.15.52 (talk) 07:50, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Editing

Deleted several quotation marks that didn't belong around words like "plot." Seemed to give it double meanings.

Deleted section titled, "Plot Details" as A) There is a plot section, two in fact it seems. B) You had contradicting opening scenes, one traveling across the desert, one in a pit.

Deleted several opinions, spelling error, irrelevant facts and other dribble. Use references to fact. No facts were deleted other than "Cunt (Ramón Franco)", which had no backing as far as citation.

Should some of the info be removed???

I was reading the last part of the article, and it says that someone dies in the end a la Wesker; Alice will fight a Tyrant..... Should this information be added with a disclaimer "SPOILER/ENDING tag or something???? Leonida

That paragraph

The third paragraph in the plot summary, it's barely readable and doesn't seem to make much sense. I'm considering deleting it completely, since it is also not in the passive voice. Actually, upon further reading, it appears someone has added to the article. I'm going to delete the added parts. Byaku Kitsune 22:07pm, 05 October 2007 (UTC)

Deleted the errors

It looks like back in March this article was pretty good, but when I read it today it was a total mess. It looks like someone copy and pasted from a translation program. Besides poor English, the information was all wrong. I fixed most of it, but I left the ending because I am about to board a flight.

Japanese title

Seeing as how the original title of the actual film is English, is there any particular justification for giving the Japanese title at the beginning? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.189.179.241 (talk) 22:35, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Seeing as an amazon.co.jp search demonstrates that the given Japanese title isn't even correct, I'm removing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.189.179.241 (talk) 22:41, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Fangoria magazine features necessary?

Why is it necessary for the Fangoria part to have so much text, especially considering some of the information turning out to be false?IchiGhost (talk) 21:35, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

I agree, it is not necessary to have information about sections of the story that could have been and also bits that were reported at the time and just seem to be speculation. Also it just looks out of place. Unless anyone objects the whole section should be deleted. Shaunthered (talk) 23:58, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

I am opening discussion on merging Resident Evil Extinction: Online Convoy Game into Resident Evil: Extinction. There is little coverage on the game, it was just a promotional tool for the film, and doesn't seem to establish its own notability. The1337gamer (talk) 19:35, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
