I know Hinduism is a very broad umbrella and almost any belief can be (or be adapted to) Hinduism (i.e. Hinduism is very tolerant), but Hinduism is more of an ethnic religion, isn't it? Its name even means "Religion of India".

I believe the best argument for Hinduism being ethnic is that it does not do any missionary work (unlike Islam, Buddhism, and Christianity) as far as I am aware. Wouldn't missions be a necessary component of a universalizing religion? (Ex: Even Judaism accepts converts)
