Fair use rationale for Image:RegentRecord.jpg[edit]

Image:RegentRecord.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being about a person, animal, organization or web content but which fails to assert the importance of its subject, because some evidence of notability (compare the German version of the article). --Lugnuts (talk) 18:01, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since there's no claim of significance or importance, perfect candidate for A7. If you have sources that establish the notability of this label, now is the time to add them. What's on the German site is moot for me since my native language is English.   ArcAngel   (talk) ) 18:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sieg Heil! Lugnuts (talk) 18:31, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Don't be silly - that's no help. The German language definitely shows more notability - quite a roster of artistes. I've declined speedy on the evidence of the German article, and tagged it as not having enough context for anyone who doesn't know the subject. Probably the wrong tag, but I'd advise getting more of the info from dewiki into it, or someone else might tag it csd and I mightn't be around. Peridon (talk) 21:50, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My point being (that you've both missed) is that in the time it took to do the drive-by tagging you could have gone to Google typed in translator and done a rough (albeit crude) German to English translation. It's not rocket science. Lugnuts (talk) 07:03, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I could. I have translated French to English, Romanian to English, and German to English here before on a few occasions - both odd bits and complete articles (and have an edit history on about 15 different language WPs ranging from adding or removing links to CSD nomination). When the creator of an article is around, I prefer to leave it to them. If you don't want to do it, fine. Peridon (talk) 10:49, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
