Proposed merge of Rats in New York City with Rat Czar[edit]

- I also agree that the articles should be merged. The appointment of a rat czar is only one part of a wider-ranging plan to address rat infestations in NYC. Sadly, I don't think this merits a standalone article because it's only notable in that context. â Epicgenius (talk) 02:20, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have merged the articles. In doing so, I found that the "rat czar" designation only dates to 2000, not the 1990s, so this article may have suffered from recentism as well. The source which says that the first "rat czar" was appointed in the 1990s was published this week, rather than contemporaneously with Lhota's appointment as rat czar in 2000. â Epicgenius (talk) 15:49, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
