Here are the issues I found:

"But he did not get the opportunity he was seeking." this seems like a strange thing to have in the lead; i'd just remove it.
"I must say, I was a very filmi kid." do you mean filmy, as written below, or is that how the quote actually is?
"but left it for pursuing acting seriously." to pursue.. sounds better
"He decided to send his portfolio across to directors." remove across; seems randomly placed in there.
"Anupama Chopra from NDTV also gave teh film" the film
"Singh won the trophy" won the award sounds a bit better here.
A couple of the references lack titles, publishers, and/or dates, namely the first and third-last one.
