Seems that several parts of the article are not confirmed by any source like these below: *The funds were provided by the people of Filiates, such as Musa Demi and Rasih Dino, two rilindas of the area

He and other rilindas from his area opened the first Albanian-language school of Filiates in 1908 .
In 1920 the Italian army imprisoned him in Sazan because he helped members of the Albanian independence movement. He was released from there after the end of the Vlora War on August 4, 1920. *In 1922, after the proposal of Jani Minga to the Albanian government, Çami became prefect of Konispol.

Translating:

Before the beginning of the school year and with the help of patriots of the area and the people on August 25, 1908 the first Albanian-language school of Filiates in Çamëria was opened.

If you have something in English it would be better as per: Wikipedia:NONENG#Non-English_sources. About this [[2]] you should correct the pages in the citation: it might be in p. 142, although I dont understand Albanian, instead of 145-146.Alexikoua (talk) 11:19, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Authoritative source[edit]

The real problem isn't the language, I just noticed that this book is written in 1989, a period that Albania was lead by a totallitarian (non-demogratic) regime. The "Academy of Science" was the official organ of this regime, as I see it can be hardly considered wp:rs. For example: [[3]] something that's clear propaganda. Since you claim that you can confirm the hook with something else, is it possible to replace the source with something that fullfils wp:rs?Alexikoua (talk) 12:48, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing wrong regarding the Academy of Sciences being used to reference this issue. This isn't an article about Illyrians etc. I can provide many other sources but they're offline, and I'll have to scan whole pages if someone wants to verify them.--— ZjarriRrethues — ^talk 12:54, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to point out that even though Qamil Cami were an Illyrian, which he wasn't, a publication by the Academy of Sciences of Albania is a reliable source. The fact that Albania has a totalitarian regime at that time does not make the Academy of Sciences' publications less worthy. The intellectual honesty can be purchased for political freedom, but also for some cash, which might be the case of a lot of professors coming from the Academia world publishing in "democratic" regimes. If it were true that all publications from the totalitarian regimes were worthless, then Alexikoua should start rejecting all the scientific discoveries of the USSR Academy of Sciences--Sulmues _talk 13:00, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I did not include all kinds of communist regimes in history but the ones that exercised one of the most extreme kind of tottatitarism (Stalinistist ones).

As per Eastern_Bloc_information_dissemination: "Only in Romania and Albania did the press remain under tight dictatorial control right up until the end of the Easter Bloc." (Frucht, Richard C. (2003), Encyclopedia of Eastern Europe: From the Congress of Vienna to the Fall of Communism, Taylor & Francis Group, ISBN 0203801091). Also: Communist Albania was one of the last surviving Stalinist regimes worldwide. Olsen, Neil (2000), Albania, Oxfam, pp. 6, 30, ISBN 0855984325. And yes Stalin's organs are also non wp:rs (do not generalize it into Soviet Union and Communism).

I do not disagree that the A.o.S. is fine source in a post Communist Albania. However, saying that a totalitarian regime's official organ is rs is far from reality.Alexikoua (talk) 06:26, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
