Proposed merger with Wayside shrine[edit]
An editor has suggested that this article be merged with Wayside shrine. The article indicates that proskynetarion has two meanings: 1) a church element, and 2) a wayside shrine. As such, I suggest that a hatnote be added to the article for the second meaning rather than making a complete merger. Doremo (talk) 19:17, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Etymology proskynetarion ← proskynesis[edit]
We need a good etymology. I've added one for proskynesis, from which proskynetarion is derived, but a) I'm afraid some will mistake it to be the explanation for proskynetarion itself, and b) the significance of the ending -[t]arion. The Greek suffix -arion creates a diminutive, I don't know if the t is here just a connection consonant derived from the final s in proskynesis, or if it changes the meaning of the suffix altogether.
