RE: Deletion[edit]

Presentation is used by Universities around the world and has over 10,000 users. I'm new to creating wiki pages, but I'll do my best to include references to websites that reference the software (other than neurobs.com, which I guess would not show "Notability").Cowtung (talk) 23:30, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A figure of 10,000 users seems wildly unlikely, how did you come up with that number? The best source to establish notability would be an article in one of the neuroscience methods journals, if such a thing existed. Failing that, a list of 3-4 papers that made use of the software, and explicitly say so in the text, ought to be sufficient. In any case there does not seem to be any current effort to get rid of the article. Looie496 (talk) 02:16, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The figure 10,000 is an understatement of the figure "37895 registered users" which is stated on the NBS website homepage, which is polled directly from their user database. If you estimate high that over half of the users created multiple accounts in the website and/or have abandoned their accounts, then 10,000 seems a more reasonable figure if you are shooing for "current and active users" than does 37,895 (the actual record count). Is there a method of coming up with a "users" figure which you think would be more appropriate? Thank you for your comments.Cowtung (talk) 03:22, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
