Characters[edit]

Just trying to get a consensus on the character section. The official website and all the press releases list 9 characters, but obviously with alternate skins for MMPR Red, MMPR Green, Ranger Slayer and Drakkon some people seem to think they should be listed in the character section and the character count raised to 13.

From playing the game and reading all the official press releases MMPR Red Dragon Shield, MMPR Green v2 and Drakkon EVO are just alternate costumes for the existing characters, so following other fighting wiki pages examples, i.e Street Fighter V we don't see Ryu & "Hot Ryu" listed separate, I don't think we should be listing all the variant skins in the character section. If there was a case that a character was added to the game with a completely different move-set then obviously this should be listed separately (if they added Jason in his Zeo Gold look with a whole new set of moves and specials for example), but I think if we start listing every variant skin then this section could become too cluttered.

Obviously the exception to this is MMPR Pink and Ranger Slayer, who are both variant characters - although they share the same move-sets and you couldn't pick both in the same team. I thought adding a note for Ranger Slayer may be a way to highlight MMPR Pinks inclusion. Another way would be to follow Injustice 2 page where "premium skins" are listed under the main characters. Again here only alternate characters are listed, not different skins for existing characters. Anyone else's input appreciated! Cheers! (Richardm9 (talk) 21:27, 3 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]

That could work at present with only one alternate skin for characters, although then you get blanks for characters with no alternate skins and then it still poses difficulty when you get Ranger Slayer / MMPR Pink being different characters. Why can't everything be as simple as Street Fighter :) (Richardm9 (talk) 21:57, 3 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]
