POV[edit]

Am I the only one who thinks that the article is a tad POV? ~ Andrew Floyd Williams

Yeah, the start is a bit. Listing the band members at the start like that is unnecessary too. Greg343 02:05, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't find it POV at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.79.29.126 (talk) 15:41, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Andrew Floyd. The explanation of this song seems strange to me.Trip2themoon (talk) 06:23, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POWER TO CAGE[edit]

Has no one else read it like this?

Pow R - like darth vader: Powar.

Toc H - ToCage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.31.23.252 (talk) 13:44, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Darth Vader and Star Wars did not exist in 1967. The rest changes one meaningless statement into another. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 11:46, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pow R. Toc H. = "Power Tokage" in reference to marijuana smoking. At least that's what I've heard. I read that the opening vocal drumming was inspired from a very stoned concert-goer who jumped up on stage during a performance and started doing that into the microphone. I'll look up the source. Well if you can find a citation from a member of the band stating that this is the meaning, you must have a quote that everyone else has missed. I don't think you'll find it. As for the second claim, how could they be sure he was stoned, and not just a guy being a goofball? Did it really happen before the song was recorded (and Pink Floyd copied him), or was it just a guy imitating the record? I'm sorry, but it sounds like a newly made-up fan rumour. If you can find a credible source (again, quoting from someone in the band is best), that's great. (P.S., from your user name, I presume you've played Colossal Cave?) --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 11:46, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've never heard the name of this song be described as anything other than a Power Toke, which is a good smoke over one night. Floyd enjoyed their drugs back in the day and any other explanation seems strange.Trip2themoon (talk) 06:20, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Joke ?[edit]

At the bottom of the article is an external link to a site for the lyrics for this song.

The song has NO lyrics.

Was this added as a joke?

Title[edit]

Is there any evidence as to TocH having anything to do with the title of the song? When Rick Wright was asked the title of the song, he didn't know and said to ask Roger Waters.[1] Carolus (talk) 03:27, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
