tankas[edit]

Танки — is the plural of a Japanese term tanka (sic). The vocalist of the group speaks about this in an interview, which is quoted in the Russian Wikipedia:

Танки — не орудие убийства, а японские стихи. Хотя во множественном числе так, наверное, нельзя говорить. Слово «танки» — означает одну виршу.
