Sorry I am new to editing articles. How can I set up a disambiguation page? --Minorurban1 (talk) 18:05, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Disambiguation, especially WP:DPAGES. However, it would end up being [[PECI (conservation)]] or [[PECI (business)]]. It seems [[Portland Energy Conservation]] handles the disambiguation issue more cleanly, no matter what the org is currently marketing themselves as. tedder (talk) 19:27, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OpposePECI is not available, as there is already an redirect to Platform Environment Control Interface. If we move Portland Energy Conservation we will have to create a disambiguation page. The company's website certainly uses the style peci (which we would change to PECI per Wikipedia:Article titles), but also notes that the company remains officially Portland Energy Conservation Inc (see the legal imprint at the bottom of the home page). On balance, I think we are better leaving things as they are, with the addition of hatnotes to the two articles. Skinsmoke (talk) 21:47, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Concur I believe adding hatnotes would be a good solution to this issue. --Minorurban1 (talk) 22:58, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Admin comment. I tried to close this, but there is no proof from the home page or the contact page that the company is not called Portland Energy Conservation, Inc.. They may use PECI, but that does not mean it is their name. So moving this article would not be correct. If the proof exists that the company changed the name, it needs to be presented here. Also the case would need to be made that it is the primary use of PECI. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose googling suggests that some web hits for this org are 'Portland Energy Conservation' rather than PECI. It doesn't actually matter what a company calls itself, WP:COMMONNAME is all abotu what other people call the company. Stuartyeates (talk) 23:21, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
