In the book, Pollyanna is not relocated to a new bedroom for letting flies into the attic room. In Chapter 10 Aunt Polly accidentally visit's her niece's attic room and is shamed by Pollyanna's determination to try and appreciate the room despite its shabbiness, and immediately orders that Pollyanna be relocated to an actual bedroom.
